It’s a bit weird that he realises he is doing stuff that will lead to impeachment yet continues to do it. Maybe rather than worrying about being impeached he could stop doing the stuff that will cause it. He also seems to miss the point that despite what he might be aiming for it is highly unlikely he’ll be President in just over two years and there are likely to be a range of civil and criminal cases resurrected / brought against him.

If he is ever charged with a criminal case his lawyer will immediately claim dementia and say he is not fit for trail.

They've just made an out of court settlement in another case.

The whole thing is such nonsense. The BBC were seriously out of line. They should have apologised profusely and made sure it couldn't happen again, maybe offered a token financial settlement. Trump should have graciously accepted that apology and a few quid and been content with the fact that the BBC embarrassed themselves. He would have actually improved his standing by being sensible about it.
In that case it was BBC Studios (a commercial subsidiary) who made the payout and I believe (maybe incorrectly?) that no legal action had been started.

But I thought Trūmp's legal action was against the BBC and the "Charter" issue is being reported elsewhere eg
He miscalculated badly. As a public service corporation, the BBC operates under a royal charter that explicitly bars it from entering into out-of-court financial settlements to make litigation disappear.

A quick Google suggests the BBC settled out of court when Lord McAlpine sued Newsnight for libel - which was 6 years before BBC Studios was formed. They've also settled employment claims. The BBC can't offer Trump a settlement that is anything near the ridiculous amount he wants so they have no choice other than to fight it. I don't think the charter issue is that relevant.
