I have to say, I think it misses the obvious: he's got dementia, and he's increasingly losing the normal restraint on swearing, as often happens when crucial bits of the brain stop working.

Things aren't going his way, so I'm not surprised he's swearing. The constant stories about his frailties strike me as wishful thinking.

Maybe I'm biased because I can't walk in a straight line (proprioception issues with aging) and I enjoy enhancing my self expression with some good earthy words, but I'd be royally farked off if anyone used that as evidence of dementia.

I enjoy a good cuss as much as anyone, but I don't swear when in teaching mode (or ever with my parents, when they were alive). Obviously people have different levels of what they think acceptable in different roles (think Alistair Campbell in his public pronouncements and as the inspiration for Malcolm Tucker when away from the cameras), but a change *within a role* is a good indicator of mental filters degrading – it's a well observed phenomenon, as per the second link.

Breaking treaties eg the Budapest Memorandum, war crimes, invading a peaceful independent democratic country, etc. I regard things as far beyond "a few naughty things".

Just for the record, Iran's weather is quite varied. The north and east have continental climate, very similar to Ukraine. FWIW, I've only ever had two white christmas, both in Iran.
