It does rather feel like this... not least as the nature of US Presidency and the special untouchability they've bestowed on Trump means that they are taking all his mad pronouncements seriously as if he is sane.

The problem is maybe that geographically there are few places across the US continent that don't already have something named "Trümp <something>". Hence his need for Greenland ie new places to name eg Trümpton and Trump Town and Trümp Centre of Arts and Crafts, etc.

To be fair, this appears to be the MLB wanting to do one off games. The proposal isn't for a permanent stadium. The concern is the amount of damage caused by a temporary stadium plus the logistical challenges when a Grizzly or Bison gets annoyed with second base...
