Try getting past the first two paragraphs of today's transcribed Trump interview, then tell me his brain isn't on a one-way trip to la-la land.

TIME: I'm curious about your dinner last night with Dario.

Trump: Oh.

Yes, exactly. Do you still disagree with his views on what he calls AI safety?

I spoke to him about his views, and they're much different, I think, than what is portrayed in the media. First of all, I liked him and his wife a lot. They had dinner, and we were going to meet at 7:00. But I was at the big Presidents Cup. I was the chairman of it in Chicago at Marion, which is great. Actually, that was yeah, Medinah, at Medinah, last year, Marion, this time of year, it was really great, and so I called, I said, "Could we make it a little bit later?" He actually saw the helicopter land, so we made it a little bit later. We got in at about 10. We stayed for more than two hours, talked about a lot of things. Very smart guy. Maybe different than I thought, a little bit. Really a little bit different. But no, he understands.

Look, I say, if you're going to seek regulation, they can put you out of business. Now you do have to be responsible for yourself, and there aren't a lot of people that understand what's going on. This is a new one that is much different than people have ever seen before. But my attitude is, we're winning against the world by a lot, and I want to keep winning. There are those that say it's bigger than the industrial revolution, and you would think not. But actually, if you look at the numbers—you ever see these numbers? They're like, they're like straight up in the air. And from our standpoint, we have trillions of dollars being invested in our country because it's probably the biggest business there is. We're the most advanced, we have the, we have the smartest people. And tomorrow I have a big meeting. We have everybody. All the—Dario's coming back.

I see that he is now considering pardoning Nixon.
Which is fair enough because compared to him Nixon was not a crook.

This quote for US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urging Europe to immediately release reserve supplies of diesel made me smile.
“ US farmers, truckers, and businesses should not be left carrying the burden" as prices soar.

Surely these are exactly the people who should be feeling the pain of Trumps stupid war.

This was quoted below a post about a loyal Trump supporter. Bonhoeffer was a critic of the Nazis, hence his imprisonment.

There's quite a lot of speculation about whether Trump is using some sort of equipment to steady him when standing/walking. This doesn't disprove the speculation.

The suspicion is that the people using him as the diversionary front for their evil ends realise that if he literally/figuratively falls, their project will hit the buffers and be exposed for what it is, so are using every way possible to keep him awake and mobile. They are only just succeeding on that front. They are going to have to work even harder over the next two years, even if they can stop his brain from composting before then.

Wait till the US diesel suppliers find out that they will be carrying the burden instead.

Is there something of golf in his stance? I don't play or watch the game but it might not be as odd to a player as it looks.

It maybe wouldn't be that odd as just a quick turn to answer someone, but he stands twisted like that for several seconds before he shuffles that leg round, as if it's a tricky manoeuvre for him and that he was avoiding having to move his left foot.

Obviously, locomotion issues are common for older people, but if his handlers are trying to cover up a natural consequence of old age for many people, in order to pretend he's a perfect physical & mental specimen (Dr Ronnie Jackson is still in his entourage), it's newsworthy, as were Biden's signs of ageing, when considering his standing for the 2024 Presidential election. It's made more pertinent by the amount of day-to-day responsibility given to POTUS, unlike (say) a UK Prime Minister.

I don’t think he has serious balance issues.
He’s 80 and can walk down stair without aids and plays golf.
Having seen elderly relatives who often fell over and couldn’t get up, he’s far more agile than them. He’s probably average for an 80 year old.
