Is there something of golf in his stance? I don't play or watch the game but it might not be as odd to a player as it looks.

I believe people who believe Trump is the devil incarnate, and I don't disagree with them, trivialise the arguments against him by concentrating on silly little, irrelevant things like him standing awkwardly. In that photo he just looks as if he has turned to address someone at the side without moving his legs.

He is an old man, he probably has balance issues as well as cognitive ones, which is not unusual for a person of his age...just look at Biden before him. Of the two, the balance issues are less important than the cognitive ones.

Your information is bollocks, which is becoming more and more frequent.
We get diesel from the US and have been stockpiling it. Donnie threatened to cut off the supply.

More or less an empty threat because the US has limited storage. They either produce it and sell it, or stop producing it, together woth petrol, thereby pushing up the price of petrol in the US.

There's no version of events where it depresses deisel prices for more than a few weeks. Funnily enough during the postal voting period in the US, which is fraudulent anyway. As we all know.

The reserves have been released are relatively small, but they have probably told him is a trillion thimbles worth to make him happy.

You know that, I know that, Donnie doesn’t know that. Yet the G7 caved.
And people wonder why I became all Eeyore. You don’t get anywhere by pandering to that man.

Is it just me, or is this just confirming what we know anyway, not least as it's bleedin' obvious?

Comes as absolutely no surprise to "us".
I dare say that there will be some who would be surprised, and others possibly even thinking it is a good thing.

Since Trump’s election, it has become rare to hear the leaders of North Korea described as mad. It used to be standard, among fairly sophisticated people, to speak of the Kims as ‘psychopathic’, ‘megalomaniac’, ‘crazed’ and ‘deranged’. This wasn’t a psychiatric diagnosis, of course, but a complex of qualities held to be undesirable in those holding positions of power: belligerent and inflated rhetoric, extravagant self-aggrandisement, mindless sloganeering and unpredictability. Once these were characteristics associated exclusively with tinpot dictatorships, banana republics and other risible polities. Not any more. The Kimification of American politics is one of the least recognised contributions North Korea has made to the world.

Interesting program on R4 earlier today about the well established practice of gerrymandering in the US by both parties in the past and how Trump has given it a turbo-boost.

Without these voting district changes it seems likely the Democrats would be well-ahead for the mid-terms, but the boundary changes will make it bum-squeakily close.

It seems to be an outcome of just about everything being politically aligned one way or the other, with party affiliation being a necessary qualification for most/many branches of justice and increasingly ordinary government offices (increasingly so under Trump).
