I was feeling a bit sorry for Zacharia and thought maybe she was just a slightly dim, naive young woman who saw an opportunity to be in front of the cameras and amongst powerful people. I hadn’t heard of her before, then I looked her up and have concluded she deserves all the ridicule she can get (she is also older than I thought).

She's a lovely person isn't she?

Donnie has now signed an executive order to block the additional sanctions on Russia that were due to come into law this weekend that were enacted a month ago.
Putin is turning the screw on him,

Rescinding a law that he himself signed.
Further proof that nothing he does can be trusted. Far less what he says.

Putin is turning the screw on him,

On the plus side, he's given up any pretence of not being pro-Putin. I guess desperation at the Ukraine war not going the way he had been hoping for, and realising that the midterms could be a Republican bloodbath if they don't manage to rig them some way or other.

Not that I trust Democrats to use majorities in a substantive way (sure, there will be lots of theatrical posturing, but not much else), but at least the lack of political pushback on the insane levels of Mad King stuff might not be so total.

Re the above, not surprised that Chuck Schumer has not said *one word* about Federal authorities deliberately targeting progressive socialist Democrat Ilhan Omar to try to deport her (a Congressional Rep) for some imagined immigration inconsistency when she arrived when she was a child. It's almost as if Schumer would like her deported.

I really hope they don’t go down the pointless impeachment process. They will never get charges to stick.
Attack him as much as you like once he’s out of office.
They will just have to find a way of overcoming the numerous presidential orders, which will be flying around.

I wonder if holding back so Trūmp does not know what they might pursue could avoid him pardoning himself.

Many with far more US legal knowledge than myself have said that a President cannot pardon himself but can't see that stopping Trümp. But for Trūmp to pardon himself "for anything he may have done at any time, ever" would be far more contestable than a pardon for something specific (though being specific would point the world to something he has identified that he did).

Maybe Democrats would achieve more waiting until Trümp has left office and they also have the Supreme Court more balanced and then to pursue criminal offences.
