I must admit, as soon as I saw the headline I thought of that player.

Why ? I'm not that into Rugby...has he a bad reputation or something ?

As I understand it, I think it was more that as both a man and woman were involved, it was assumed that they were a married couple and the ages given by the police matched theirs. As it turns out, the woman involved was, according to the Mail, a 'high end escort', not a spouse.
