That feckin George Clarke fella off of Small Spaces.

Ah yeah, George Clarke is very, very annoying. Wandering around like an over excited child in every "amazing space" as if he's never seen the inside of another house before.

Give me the scathing cynicism of Kevin McCloud any day.

Any celeb or chef who does the 'free holiday' genre, with the exception of the early Michael Portillo railway ones, before it got boring, and the Paul Whitehouse fishing thing. Is there a part of Cornwall or Scotland that hasn't been covered a dozen times over already? Some of these places must have a film crew and a rotation of minor celebrities in permanent residency.

I used to like him but tv over exposure means he's reached his saturation point. His last show, that kitchen/garden thing, only had 3 episodes and was pretty terrible. I just fast forward to the end bit now.

That Fiona Bruce is another one who gets on everything...

I agree with a lot of those listed but haven't noticed and would add Steve Coogan.

Very similar to Ricky Gervais, when he's in character as one of his own creations he's really good, but when he's on a chat show as himself you do sometimes wonder if he's forgotten to stop acting.

It's a weird aspect to attitudes to personalities and one I find difficult to justify in that it should be that one's views of an actor should be based on their talent acting and the roles they accept. But I find their personal behaviour also impacts my views. eg irrespective of their acting capability, if they are a complete prat then I'll be less likely to enjoy their acting performances, maybe as whilst watching their performances it's their personal behaviour is too forefront in my mind.

In the case of Steve Coogan whilst I don't think that much of his Alan Partridge character, his petrolhead life and repeated avoidance of losing his license after repeated traffic offences (using his profession as an "excuse") - something I find unacceptable.

Probably two slightly different themes I would say; celebritities you can't stand and equally as interesting, should the individual (and their personal life/deeds) be separated from their art i.e. Allen/Polanski as you highlight.
Definitely two different themes, but that's OK.

Emma Thompson for the sanctimony and bleeding heart liberal credentials. Yeah she's great in most of her roles but she makes me want to drive 6 inch nails into my own head whenever she's interviewed or collecting an award.
I don't think I could give up Emma unless she ran over a blind orphan and his three legged dog then backed up over them.

Billy Corgan and Lars Ulrich have always annoyed me to the point where I can't enjoy their music.
Both those guys are new to me. The Ulrich/Napster thing was interesting. On googling Corgan I came across this (odd video description - Corgan didn't seem particularly shocked to me).

I'm not looking for people to personally cancel, but if I was, the closest would probably be Stephen King for stupidly spreading misinformation. Fortunately he owned up to his mistake.

Eddie Izzard. Totally sh1t unfunny bastard with few redeeming features, although I'll give him props for his charity marathons.
I liked him well enough back in his "these aren't women's clothes, they're my clothes" days. Now I share my wife's opinion that he's grossly offensive to women.
