Funny thing
I have heard from somewhere about a thing called the EU
which - for those that do not know - operates as a single market

so how is he planning on putting tariffs on some countries in it and not others??

I think maybe he doesn;t really understand how the EU works
maybe Nigel should explain it to him

But, but, but, can't you see there in plain sight how this so called single market thing is just a ruse to twart and circumvent the will of the man baby, the US oligarchs , the US people?

My guess is that shortly before the 10% tariffs start he'll declare that "negotiations are underway" and he'll put the tariffs on hold indefinitely. Countries he's impacting imports from still need to fight but my complete guess is this came from an ill-considered Social Media post, something he should have paused before pressing "Send".

But even if my guess happens he's done irreparable damage to US's relationship with allies.

But then he's a great fan of "reciprocity" (his justification for starting his entire tariff policy) so maybe UK & EU should follow his wishes for "reciprocity" and impose matching tariffs "until such time as agression against NATO allies ceases".

He also doesn’t seem to understand that in order for Greenland to leave the EU then they need the buy in of all member who have to ratify it. Won’t happen.

If he wants to buy it, then congress need to sign off the money via a two thirds vote. Won’t happen.

So his only actual option is invade it. Won’t happen.

But, but, he can make it happen by just thinking it.

Indeed, previous patterns of behaviour would suggest that if people are still talking about tariffs a day or 2 before the deadline, he will say something like “European leaders have been ringing me all day to try and make a deal”.

If he has forgotten or been distracted then the deadline will lapse without comment.

Currently being advertised on FB. I like the play on words. Not enough to buy though. 😉

By the sound of it, invading is out too.
There’s a new bill being pushed through by both parties that will withhold funding for said purpose.

Greenland left the EU in 1974 or thereabouts.
