The grooming gangs scandal has now been in the public discourse for a long time.

A popular explanation of why and how it went 9n for so long was that the police and other bodies were turning a blind eye to avoid upsetting minority communities.

Another hypothesis that was less popular was that police corruption covered up for the gangs involved.

It looks like, at least for Rotherham, the second hypothesis may have some basis in truth.

without an independent and thorough investigation, we may never know, but, BBC News this evening suggested that the corruption and the "minority communities" were connected. We need facts, not speculation.

Another issue is that the girls were very difficult to deal with. They wouldn’t interact with police and were actively rebellious teens from care homes, who whilst unable to consent legally, were in many cases happy with the arrangement. They would have made terrible witnesses in a Court.

In short society as a whole didn’t really care and it was too difficult to deal with.

The implication peddled by the likes of Braverman, Farage and others, has always been that there was something wrong with those communities, which produced the grooming gangs. Inaction was attributed to reluctance to appear racist.

The picture that appears to be evolve seems to be of criminal gangs colluding with corrupt policemen who kept a lid on things for their own profit.

And shıt stirrers like Braverman or Farage don't actually give a fųck about any of the victims.

Interesting that people seem to omit the identity and race of the policeman named by the BBC ( who incidentally died years ago in a car crash)

The BBC report linked to by @CR names PC Hassan Ali. And as if his name was not enough of a clue as to his race, there is a picture of him in the same article.
Three other former officers were not named.

Come on, you should know Spen's tactics by now of being a total edgelord so that he can sit there nodding to himself about how we're all leftie woke simps who love defending brown people and hate whites.

There's no allegations been made that there was financial profit to the 'corrupt policemen'. They weren't paid off by the groomers. The allegation is that they actively took part in the grooming and abuse. They took the opportunity to do the same because these girls were vulnerable, easily targeted, and they could act with impunity.

Your post just reads like an attempt to distract from the obvious 'picture that is evolving' - which is that there were cultural factors involved, both in the victims, the abusers, and the fact that nothing was done about it for so long.

I have made no reference at all to anyones politcas or otherwise.

I just find it interesting in the posts on here, no one has mentioned the elephant in the room about the particular officer allegedly involved in the abuse.
You can try to launch personal attacks on me - that just reflects badly on you and shows attempts to divert away from the sexual abuse allegations.
