Nope. What you see is what I did, with the wording changed to white so it was invisible. There was no quote.
It was supposed to be a light hearted jokey response but obviously failed.

You need to choose your audience carefully for humorous responses to be appreciated.

My information was mistaken. If that was the case, apologies. Perhaps I'm too used to the snarkiness on here.

This post. The one you made this morning but then deleted the quote and text so it now appears as a blank box. Except in the search function. Perhaps you've genuinely forgotten who/what you quoted and then told us you were ignoring.

If he had quoted a post of yours, then removed the quote from the post, the editing would have cancelled any alert sent. So there'd be no alert.
And as @Pblakeney says there's no indication the post has been edited, meaning that it would all been done in under three minutes for no edited notification to show.

It still shows up in a forum search as 'Ignored' even if the quote has gone. So there was clearly some editing done in order to leave only the obviously hilarious joke of a blank box.

But as your own screenshot shows, it backs up what he said he posted.
It's not a blank post.

The only editing done was to change the colour of the text to white. That's it, end of.
You appear to be making a mountain out of a miniature mole hill. Sorry I don't have a greater conspiracy and hidden agenda.

I was very very reserved about using the Ignore function for similar reasons. But after far too long I got fed-up with pouring through vast numbers of Twitter posts from unknown US consipiracy theorists who lost the concept of "fact" and "truth". I have better things to do with my time. Countering all this twaddle was never and discussion, it was just one people shouting without even having a point to make.

So I eventually (and far too late) used the "ignore" in a very limited way and I still see views I don't agree with, views that make me think and those posters do engage in discussion, etc.

I'm on the same page. I only have one forum user on ignore (I'm guessing the same person). I agree with the reasons above except that I realised after a while that there was no point in responding to the twaddle as the user has no interest in responses, discourse or in other people's opinions. They are literally just trolling.

There are users I disagree with but who are capable of putting together rational counterarguments so we actually have a discussion. I enjoy discourse.
