She was in the Cameron Cabinet that set the rules for the Brexit referendum therefore she shares collective responsibility.

In any event she, as the leader of the Conservative Party, might reasonably be asked to account for apparently acting hypocritically in setting one margin in referendum (a) and another in referendum (b).

It was repeatedly pointed out that the winning margin in the EU referendum would have been insufficient to legally support a strike on the tube.

Not all rules for referenda are set the same……its upto the government of the day to set the rules, irrespective of any previous referendums

But do you not agree that if a simple majority of voters is sufficient for a constitutional step change of leaving the EU it looks a bit rum to prescribe a different form of majority for the constitutional step change of Scots independence?

No…..rules are rules, but not all of them are the same

Johnson has to give his leaving speech yet

Normally an important event well covered at a time when people will catch it

but because he has to do it in Downing street
then get up to Balmoral to tell Her Majesty he is resigning - just in case she has missed the news

so he is going to have to do his goodbye speech at 7 in the morning

probably not what he was thinking of - sort of takes the edge of the great ending
