I'm disappointed by reports Starmer is now going to talk to Trump about the BBC and his legal action.
Not something a politician should be getting involved with. Trump will lose if only because the program wasn't screened or available in the US so as I see it US law cannot really apply (they don't have global jurisdiction however much they might want it). Like US trying to procecute somebody for breaking a 20 mph speed limit in Cardiff (UK).
Well it depends what he is going to say. I imagine he is going to put Trump in his place and point out the UK is a sovereign nation where US lawsuits do not apply and he should get over it and stop trying to bully us or we will impose huge US sanctions and encourage out European neighbours to follow suit as we need to preserve the freedom of the press.
