That applies equally to Mason's output. It's a truly awful piece of writing with absolutely no insight. Compare him with the likes of Jeremy Bowen, who not only does proper journalistic probing but writes perceptively, (or John Simpson of old), and you realise what a load of twaddle Mason's is.

But he's saying what the powers that be want to avoid upsettingTrump.

But he's saying what the powers that be want to avoid upsettingTrump.

That too, but he's just not old-school BBC quality. Even dismissing his questionable judgement of balance, his breathless "he-said, she-said" writing style is more suited to 'Hello!' than serious political matters.

Very disappointed on Justin Webb this morning. They had some US guy complaining about how NATO are not helping them, and hardly any pusback from Webb regarding the fact that this is a war of choice by Israel and the US.

war of choice by Israel and the US.

Let's bring it a bit nearer to home.

You live on a block of flats. One of your neighbours has always been a bit angry, unpredictable, threatening other neighbours.

One day they announce they will start killing others in the block of flats if they don't do as they want. Also because they are on the bottom level are always interfering with people's lawful business entering and leaving.

Would you tolerate such behaviour, or do something about it personally, or maybe get the authorities to deal with this person.

I thought it was okay tbh. I prefer that to repeatedly interrupting to demand a yes no answer to an unanswerable question.

Chris Mason obviously worrying that the Labour Party isn't going to be Reformy enough for his taste.

Apparently Tom Skinner is looking to do a Trump and sue the BBC claiming he was kicked out due to rigged voting. I’d have thought all the BBC will have to do to win the case is show footage of him ‘dancing’. To be honest, I suspect there’s another reason he wasn’t around for the final…

He’s got himself into another BBC spot of bother.
After his less than impressive Question Time appearance, he claimed to have been paid £2,000. The BBC have clarified that he was paid £150.
He has thrown his management under the bus claiming that they told him it was a £2k fee.

That seems a rubbish fee to be honest. I get that with politicians it’s a chance to push their agenda and that’s why Farage is always on there but I can’t understand non-politicians going on for a fee that small.
