I'm not sure I understand your objection to necessarily. Would you mind elaborating?
The implication of your post appeared to be that errors have occurred due to people making split second decisions when in reality they had time to reflect.
I pretty sure the rules of engagement are rigorous and unlikely to be improved by the input of you or me.

Police make 355 arrests at pro-Palestinian protest in London
"Defend Our Juries member, Zoe Cohen, said as a Jewish person she is "grieving after the appalling synagogue attack" but also "grieving for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who have been murdered, displaced and starved in Gaza".
She added: "I think it's possible for us to be compassionate and open our hearts to victims of multiple atrocities at one time."
In the statement, released during the protest, she said "if today's vigil had been cancelled we would have been letting terror win".
I fail to understand how a group that protests for action to be taken to support a free Palestine state can be considered a terrorist group by a government that has just recognised Palestine as a state.
Simple.
This country is run by hypocrites. Say one thing, do the opposite.
Yes they can.I wonder if the same guidance to the legislation will be used for 'repeated' hotel demon strations..

My worry about suggestions that the Palestine protests should not go ahead after the Manchester attacks is further conflating worldwide Judaism with the actions of the Israeli Government. To me no religious person could ever countenance what is being done to innocent civilians in Gaza. But it's being done by a Government not a group of believers of a particular religion who are not even citizens under the Israeli Government.Current tally now @ 442. Questions, now, need to be asked of the Met and of Shabana Mahmood; following her "un-british" comments.
What kind of logic is that? Following that you cannot accept Islam/muslim as a peacefull group/religion just because some poeple from that same religion want to kill each and everyone who does'nt believe or follows islamic gudelines exactly as they think it should be.I fail to understand how a group that protests for action to be taken to support a free Palestine state can be considered a terrorist group by a government that has just recognised Palestine as a state.

It's something Netanyahu has been doing for years when any criticism of Israeli Government actions is immediately condemned as anti-semitic causing what is a widespread religion to be seen as part of the Israeli Government actions.
I suspect if this conflation is part of the cause of these problems and merging the issue of protests in support of Palestine with grieving following the synagogue attack just mixes it all together even more.
