Just glanced at user statistics on the site and it shows 682 visitors online and 16 members.

How true are these figures as I find it difficult to imagine a ratio of more than 40:1.

I imagine the rest are bots/crawlers (whatever they are called)

I suspect most of the spiderbots are from the White House, seeing if any us nasty British people are saying mean things about Trump, so he can ban us from the US.

I have been on quite a few road trip holidays in the west and south-west of the US in the past with an old school friend. I love that part of the country and am glad I've seen a lot of it, but luckily I have no further plans to go to the US, so can call the Tangerine Twat anything I want.

Click on members online on the front/main site page, from there you'll see who's online and what they're looking at. You'll notice bots have their own listing.

There were over 2,000 guests online the other week, numbers have dropped.

I very much doubt that even the joint wisdom of NCAP is enough to attract 20 non-member visitors, let alone 2000. They'd obviously be risking deportation straight back to where they came from, especially if they came over in small bots.

Well, when BR was shutting down the number of Guests shot up, from around 200, to over a 1,000.

But I've a feeling you may be onto something.

Well, given that there were probably less [sic] than 100 posters in total left on BR (and probably nearer 50), I suspect that that reflects the activities of search engines people were using to find CC rather than actual visitors. I think that heightened activity around a website then attracts more spiderbots there, as it looks as if something is going on worth investigating. Again, I might be barking up the wrong tree.
