A slight diversion which will immediately be ridiculed for being fiction but it made me think.

In the Netflix series of The Diplomat there is a scene where the US Vice President explains why the US needs Faslane (not named as such but it is fairly obvious) and that there is no way they will allow the UK to close it down.

100% fiction but be under no illusion, the UK is only a powerhouse because of Faslane/Trident, and nuclear weapons in general. Remove it and we are irrelevant on a world scale.

If the UK needs WMDs to stay relevant, move them to the Thames Estuary or the Solent. No-one in Scotland needs or wants them.

The great Kick The Nats Out Of Holyrood In May campaign commences.

Sadly they won't have to try too hard. I'm halfway to thinking Swinney's SNP 1&2 Suicide Strategy is a wilful attempt to throw the election, let some mutant Labour/Reform/Tory coalition have a disastrous Buggins' Turn - then fingers crossed Holyrood's still there in 5 years so they can try to stage a grand comeback.

But yeah, they can stuff their tiny, tactically pointless, ludicrously expensive handful of thermonuclear cock-extentions up their arses. Or up the River Medway, where no-one would ever notice the teratogenic effect of radioactive leakage on the indigenous population.
