Is anyone still on X? If yes, has it got noticeably less toxic since the Russian data centres were hit?

I occasionally look to see what Flett and Rosen are up to. Mary Beard is still gamely and good-humouredly responding to the trolls.

Yes, I know it's nearly as bad as X ... but I'm pretty convinced that Facebook political/culture-war-type threads have been notably saner. [In case anyone has missed this, folks are calling the strikes "Operation Quiet Piggy" ]

Lots of people. I haven't noticed, but perhaps my feed isn't the same as yours. Perhaps Bluesky is less toxic because there's far less engagement generally. Or maybe the bots bother with it less (for now anyway) because there's fewer users and it's not worth it.

All I've noticed on LinkedIn is even more people making personal life posts about their new child or the run/bike ride/Ironman they did at the weekend and trying to create a tenuous link to their work life to justify posting.

I have a lot of contacts in the US, many of which are MAGAS, probably to do with some of the fields the company I work for deals with. That may have a bearing on what I see.
