The FCA said the evidence it had gathered "suggests that no firm closed an account between July 2022 and June 2023 primarily because of a customer's political views".

Not exactly conclusive?

Indeed, the report says the closure decision was partly based on the reputational damage the bank would suffer by having Farage as a customer, and partly based on the fact they were making no money out of him.

Probably no more to it than that.
