Rant coming, sorry.

I posted a thread on the other place regarding that charity ride by two Scots from Glasgow to Bethlehem, raising money for Medical Aid for Palestine.

In the initial post I summarised the broad nature of the appeal and left it to the readers to follow the links to learn more, or donate if they chose, and left it at that. Someone said the article was behind a paywall (it isn’t for me, despite not being subscribed) so I chose some excerpts to post to relate the story. I deliberately omitted the many direct references to things like the murder of 17,000 children, the settler violence, and more so as to avoid sparking any political debate.

There hasn’t been any.

It was a thread to draw attention to the fundraising and the achievement of a couple of pensioners covering 2,400 miles in nine weeks.

It’s been locked and no explanation given.

It’s getting lots of ‘likes’, even after being locked but that won’t get it re-opened.

My other thread about the blocking of a shipment of bikes to war-torn Sudan, however, is still open despite a couple of contributions being political.

A thread about a charity ride for children in Ukraine has no problems either.

But a thread in July for a fundraiser to get some Palestinian amputees into the paralympics wasn’t just locked, it was immediately deleted. And now this.

Palestine seems to make so many in authority overly defensive.
They should be ashamed.

This shows the degree to which Zionists have successfully hijacked and weaponised the term antisemitism. It’s now used to stifle all criticism of Israel, its citizens, actions and policies.

It’s a completely twisted interpretation of the term to conflate being Israeli with being jewish but it’s clearly working.

They are unbelievably paranoid about the forum being "tainted" by discussion of political points (not that the thread did get political) or perhaps are more concerned that the more sensitive members could have an attack of the vapours.

I don't know who most of the mods are, but at least one liked your initial post, which suggests they're not working as a team.

I’ve also been told in a PM that my signature (FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸 ) isn’t allowed as it’s political so they’ve deleted it.
Didn’t seem to bother them, or anyone else, when for at least two years my sig was NEVER TRUST A TORY, and for my avatar I had a saltire flag with YES across it, supporting independence.

I guess it’s that P word again.
