Just reregistered in "the other place" and posted info about how nutrition in modern fruit and veg is a lot lower than it used to be, posted to a thread about eating fruit so relevant, non-controversial, non-political and ... deleted by moderators.
Makes you wonder quite what is going on when you spend time contributing info and it's just deleted without any thought.
Makes you wonder how much useful factual info is posted there and never sees the light of day.
Eh? Did you get a note about why it had been deleted?
As I've mentioned before, I'd prefer it if they'd send a PM explaining why they object to a post, citing what rule has been broken, and asking you to take it down. I appreciate they haven't got the time to get into extended debates/arguments with individuals, but I've generally found, as a mod, if you explain to someone 'why', they are happy to learn from it, and apologise, as most transgressions are inadvertent. If you don't know why something was deleted, you've not learnt what you should avoid doing.
