Not really, when the roolz on the mother ship don't allow open moans against moderation decisions. Afaiu there is no rule saying you cannot come on this site to moan about rules on that site.

Well at least they're on the right thread.

I think what would help is if the moderators actually responded to queries.

I don't think asking why I was banned for a day rather than the picture being simply removed is unreasonable, but I'm not holding my breath for a response.

FWIW, I only arrived in Cake Stop when pretty much all moderation had stopped on Bike Radar, so it functioned pretty much like NCAP. But I think there were some pretty epic arguments over the mods there and the power they wielded. Not sure what prompted the change, but maybe someone will tell us.

Probably just my foggy memory but Cake Stop became a much more open space once a certain Mr. Chasey stopped being a moderator.
That said, it's not a job I'd take up on.

Yup, this exactly. They might actually spend less time moderating if they explained why certain decisions were taken. OK, would probably be a faff at first, but firstly it would help people understand the rules (and maybe why), and if done sensibly could gain more respect for the decisions and those making them.

I know it's not an easy job, but generally explaining rules (if they aren't daft) reduces the aggro over time. And if they are daft rules, having to explain them might get them modified to something more sensible.

A thread I posted was deleted as I had not provided a translation from German...
Except it was not even German. It was a direct quote from

Cinderella Hassenpfeffer,: And other tales mein Grossfader told

Which are a collection of fairy tales made to sound German and are hilarious. You don't need to speak German. Dave Morrah turns the fairy tales we all know on their heads. Like when one of the ugly sisters get the glass slipper, Cinderella mit bawlin' und screamin'.

The author also wrote 'Who ben kaputen' der Robin and 'Fraulein bo-beepen'.

I'll have to try posting something from Mots d'Heures: Gousses, Rames

My account is 'On Moderation' now, oh joy!

When they become Moderators over there, are they all sent for training in North Korea or something?

On the naughty step... you bad boy.

Mind you, it doesn't make much difference, as they seem to be on 24h rotation to catch all miscreants... just that you're front of the queue now.
