That's my opinion as well.

Where do we start? Movies? TV? Internet? Video games? The stratification of the education system and, in turn society? Feelings of not being able to fulfill one's purpose/talent? The list could be endless.

You clearly have not had the "pleasure" of visiting the housing estate in question (Whitehills).

Whilst I agree with the tenor of your thought, this is an isolated case. As such it would not be possible to legislate or design a way to stop an event like this happening. There are already initiatives to fight knife crime and these have had some effect, but it is impossible to eliminate completely.

Also, without knowing the detail of what happened, we cannot explore the reasons *why* it happened, only that something happened between 3 teens which resulted in a death.
