Anthropic disables top-tier AI models after US order limiting foreign access
June 12 (Reuters) - Anthropic said on Friday it will "abruptly disable" its most advanced AI models for all users after the U.S. government ordered it to suspend access to the models for foreign nationals, citing national security ‌concerns.

The company received the export control directive to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all foreign nationals, without being given specific details of its national security concern, Anthropic said in a statement.

So vulnerable to a US President suddenly deciding to have specific AIs blocked by the entire world outside the US, less than 5 mins warning and we're all cut-off (no exceptions). And having the "special relationship" would count for nothing.

It didn't add a third wing to the Spitfire further back, but given that the two wings don't line up, I'm not sure which plane is going to crash first.

I missed that completely, I was on my phone and thought that was part of the propeller. I eventually spotted the text “a thrilling air display you won’t want” which I’m guessing wasn’t the message they wanted to put out.
