I listened to that R4 interview and it was truly painful. She got no difficult or challenging questions yet she came across as a disaster, demonstrating she just isn't clever and totally unsuited to even be an MP let alone major Party leader.

Just highlighted how our political classes are just so far from being up to the task I really do feel UK is lost until somebody even able to spell competent comes along.

I think she only works off a pre-written script, and is incapable of deviating from agreed attack lines. Even in an interview.

You may be right. I remember one PMQs where she had a good attack question for Starmer except Starmer answered and invalidated the issue immediately before she started yet she was unable to deviate from her script and looked a complete fool asking a question that had just been adequately answered.

If I were her script writer for the PMQs on Iraq, rather than the 'attack, attack, attack!' script, I'd have recognised the tradition of showing solidarity in times where armed conflict is involved, and even if there are points of criticism, recognise the tricky calculations and the precedents (not least, Iraq, where she could have made a veiled point about Labour's history).

Instead of which all she and her team can think of is trolling and attacking, for the tweets, Tiktok and Youtube channels, and for that they have to 'own' Starmer for the headline to their followers. I despair.

I think Starmer managed to very significantly enhance his "I'm sensible serious person ..." across the electorate when as opposition leader he mostly supported Johnson during Covid or at least the Covid measures). He recognised that at that time the country needed unified message to follow rules/guidance.

I suspect a lot of the country would love Starmer to do a "Love Actually" moment and last few days he's sort of gone a bit in that direction. So Ms Badenøch going opposite way won't go down well with the wider electorate. I think Farangé's pro-Trümp on anything and everything is a weakness that other parties should be using more. I don't this Trúmp is popular across the UK electorate.

Exactly this. I know I'm in a NCAP, Bluesky and Libtard bubble, but I think Badenoch is mistaking her X experience (and the feedback on the Youtube channel - jeez!!) as being more widely shared in the UK than it is. When even MAGA in the US isn't in support of all Trump's warmongering or paedophilia, that Badenoch is enthusiastically embracing that and the echoes of Iraq seems as bonkers a misreading as Mahmood chasing the xenophobes.

He also clearly expressed his support for Johnson the outbreak of the Ukraine invasion. Which is perfectly normal practice.

I suspect quite a few old Tory grandees are horrified at her antics.

In what sense is Badenoch enthusiastically embracing Trump's paedophilia? What is Trump's paedophilia exactly? This is like your Epstein files post that claimed a celebrity had strangled a girl to death and Trump was present when a child was killed. You posted that as some triumphant gotcha but it was nonsense. You just chuck this stuff around for others to mindlessly swallow.
