Most people who leave wills (not all, obviously) do so to benefit their families rather than themselves.
Pedant alert! (Most unusual for me). Nobody's will is for their own personal benefit. Mostly because they are dead.

Reverse pedant alert with triple salchow and double lutz. Many people get personal satisfaction while they are alive from the knowledge they are leaving stuff to their families. Not all benefits are pecuniary.
The will may mean that they sleep well at night prior to death but they are not the beneficiaries on the reading of the will.
Cheating. You've retrospectively (retroactively?) changed the timescales to include the will reading...benefits are not all pecuniary.
Sorry, but inheritance only begins after someone has died. That is an important part of the timeline.
I'm not talking about inheritance but benefits. You are fixated on the pecuniary aspects of the inheritee and ignoring the personal feelings of the predecessor. Both are valid.

Although I suspect Trûmp's Will is written to make sure he keeps everything personally. "You can't take it with you" just won't apply to him. Or maybe it'll be like the Egyptian Pharaohs and he'll be buried in a golden tome surrounded by his wealth.Pedant alert! (Most unusual for me). Nobody's will is for their own personal benefit. Pupil numbers are expected to decline. Are you suggesting that even with immigration the population of school age kids is going to fall? Evidence?
This is true. In real terms fees for private schools have risen by nearly 30% more than inflation. People with middle incomes are now priced out of private school. We are "lucky" in that we only have two terms to go now for second daughter. We are unlucky in that despite careful planning to cover the fees, the farkwits in the Tory (Trussonomics) and Labour parties have completely shafted us. Between the huge interest rate rise and the imposition of VAT in the middle of a school year, straight after Christmas, it's been a challenge. It's also widely accepted that the 40,000 fall in numbers being privately educated THIS YEAR is down to the VAT change couple with the employer NI changes, and not as a result of something that may be happening in a few years time.
Yep - a significant amount of the music tuition sector is private schools. The Government doesn't like "useless" subjects like music, art. textiles etc.And you clearly made some sort of living off that sector, something your younger colleagues are going to be less able to do as a result of the VAT change.
Pedant alert! (Not unusual for me.) The full stop should be in the bracket.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Disagree, as an exclamation mark doesn't need to be treated as a stop.
