The rotors are pitted and corroded and need resurfacing.

Pads are definitely not at 90%.

Yes, the 90% at 100k is bollocks.

But, you know, he's got a reputation to uphold ;)

Indeed. I have not just witnessed something biblical like I was supposed to im sure... the rotors aren't much better than I've witnessed before at 100k and yes there is more meat on the pads than I would expect. But wow, I guess buying 50 quid pads less often more than makes up for the overpriced shoot I paid for.

Considering I've just changed the brakes on our learner C3 1.2petrol at 37k miles. They were trashed

Pitted rotors is not a good thing. CXR should be using the brakes a little harder every now and then to avoid this.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

That's why I changed them for appearance sake. It had just passed its MOT with no advisories. So I could have gone up to around 130k miles before next MOT.

Yes, they could be skimmed and they'd be OK for another 40k. But a rotor for a Citroen is cheap. They are smaller, because the car is a lot less powerful and of course, you do actually use the brakes more often on a ICE car. Nothing here is a revelation.

But far from anything else, does Elon know you're comparing a Tesla to a Citreon?

Another non owner myth.
I'll agree with you on the brakes. Regen braking doesn't really use them unless you brake very hard. The tyres on the other hand...

No it isn't. My first set lasted 16k miles before needing changing. It looks like it needs a new set pretty much every year.
Could be different between brands of course.

You miss the point though. I still think the cars are good. I just wouldn't buy one any more than I would buy Mr Hitler's watercolours or Mr Mussolini's Essays.

Good old Donald.
He’s bought a Tesla in solidarity with his mate Elon.
Apparently it’s the loony left who are causing all the problems?
