I would agree, this is a bubble, there appears to be only two, dissenting voices, perhaps, only one, if as has been suggested (jokingly?) you and Steve are the same person.

That's not entirely true: if you take the majority of voices here (i.e. the not-Tories as things stand), it's not a single opinion - if you read carefully, there are those who might have voted for Corbyn and would rather have cut their own testicles off than voted for Thatcher, through to those who did vote for Thatcher and espouse a generally more 'centrist' (Tory wets, maybe) view. I'm not going to name names, but most people will know roughly where on the not-Tory-or-Reform spectrum the various forumites might be.

It's one of the tricks of the right wing to cast the not-right-wing as some dangerous far left cult with one opinion.

It's also a feature of the current right wing that no-one even slightly to the left them can't be considered at all right wing: they would claim that people like John Major and David Gauke (still both Tory Party members) aren't really Tories.

Leave the VAT on gas and renewable electricity becomes cheaper and more attractive in comparison to gas.

Yes, I thought was possibly your point, it would have to say "relatively more attractive" since the gap in price for electric heating and gas heating is significant.

But, I thought Burnham's objective was to help with the "cost of living".
