Unless it states the terms of rejoining, opinion polls on it are a bit useless imo.

Agreed, on the whole, but even so the so far inexorable drift towards at least closer cooperation is notable, and the quick change in (say) perceptions of the 'triple lock', when presented in a politically astute way, might suggest that the debate is now worth having, as one possible pragmatic solution to the GDP question.

The referendum was useless because it didn’t state the terms of leaving.

I think it's too early. It would be too divisive, though obviously a vote would be years away even if there was public appetite for renewed discussion.
Canada didn't want full EU membership because it involved giving up some sovereignty so I think if there is any drift in sentiment towards rejoining it's more likely to be of the Canada nature rather than all-in.

It might well be, but *if* Burnham pitched sorting out the relationship into a mutually beneficial arrangement (as he's already outlined), it *might* be electorally beneficial, even if the eventual outcome is some way off. And, as I say, a lot can happen in two or three years, not least in EU terms, with the far right in Germany & ructions in France (and now Belgium).

Burnham's angle this morning seems to be to burn all Starmer's bridges with la Faragisme and to put Brexit centre stage. I guess that Blue Labour and Maurice Glasman have been taken off the Christmas card list. It would be a start, anyway.

It's about 100 words of he said she said, that offers nothing other than Burnham opposes the motion and Polanski both does and doesn't. From a rapidly anti-Westminster "news" paper.

Burnham conflated Zionism with anti-Semitism. Both you and trumpet choose to either ignore this or buy the explanation of those who wish to distract from the atrocities commited by Israel.
Burnham and anyone who defends him are the true anti-Semites.

It's difficult to know where to start with this. So I shan't.
