Not sure I understand how Jet2 having more flights to/from London is going to improve "growth" in the North of England, Scotland, etc
Found an interesting bit in a report about 3rd Heathrow runway and growth
There is some scepticism in Whitehall and beyond about the degree to which airport expansion would make a contribution to economic growth. The Department for Transport under Haigh commissioned a study on the growth impact on a third runway at Heathrow, which indicated that any increase in economic growth would not be immediate as the airport would not see any additional planes until 2040. The biggest rise in passengers would also come from transit – where there is no air passenger duty paid.

Effective action over the climate emergency would require a benign global dictator, uninfluenced by special pleading and unopposed for a couple of decades. Which is obviously impossible. So we're stuck with the emerging consequences of our lack of action. That's likely to affect the southern hemisphere and the poorer areas most to start with. However, the 'developed' world will feel the pressure from migration and increasingly turbulent world affairs, as well as the unpredictable weather.

Maybe not as recent research has shown that the climate pollution from exported LNG has is worse than that from coal.

It maybe, but until there is sufficient green energy, fossil will used until phases out. I'm all for green, but no country could cut fossil fuels immediately and be sustainable. There are few low population countries getting very close, but the larger ones no way.

More worrying was Biden didn't recollect the decision. There again, apart from the democrats and MSM everyone could see his mental capacity disintegrating. Not that fair the democrats and MSM knew they just tried to gas light the US population. Didn't work

It won't, it will just allow Labour to fly in illegals directly into London, just like Biden's democrats did

Trump is proposing to increase fossil fuel extraction. Other countries already have adequate supply for current levels and are reducing that level of use so increased production will have nowhere to be used.

I suspect that those providing investment will recognise the declining market which already has adequate supply so the only way to sell increased production is at reduced pricing (outcompeting existing supply not growing the market) which will mean lower profits against the same cost base ... which makes no financial sense.

Yes he is, because the democrats have made the US economy go into decline.

He will likely slash energy prices, make everyone feel richer with cheaper food, heating/cooling costs. Productivity will improve.

The long run though, even Trump's successors will need to convert to green energy.

But today and for the near future every country on the planet is and will continue to use fossil fuels.

Unless you want the whole worlds economy to almost instantly stop and we all scramble to get our own solar/ wind energy?

Why will it affect the Southern Hemisphere most to start with?
