Anyone with any more background on this? Curtailing dialogue doesn't seem helpful. But such is the polarisation of debate and that this is from the Jewish Chronicle, does make one hesitate from drawing conclusions.

That's why I'm being sceptical, as they have form. But *if* their reporting has some basis in fact, it does feel odd to ban a Jewish group that is on the Palestinians' side. I'm reminded of Thatcher's covert dialogue with the IRA: the problem wasn't going to be 'solved' without dialogue with the people she abhorred and who tried to kill her.

This article from last year explains the rationale of the ban, ie the banned group doesn't fully endorse the GP position on Palestine.

Thanks for the context. Still seems like it's a case of purity over pragmatism that ends up with stifling what might be helpful dialogue. Had Thatcher stuck with ideological purity, we might not have had the GFA, and that would be a Bad Thing, unless perpetual conflict is deemed preferable to messy compromise.

And renewables should be prioritised for more critical use (heating houses, cooking food, etc.). Currently and for some time to come we will still be using significant amounts of climate damaging fuels so what clean energy we have should be used to reduce hydrocarbon use not just wasted creating pictures on Burnham in a bikini or making up complete twaddle (hallucinations).

The Greens won a by-election yesterday in Dover by just 34 votes - previously a bit of a Tory stronghold. Rupert Lowe's Restore party took enough out of Reform to let the Greens take the win.
