Thanks Pross. I guess the best way to compare would be high-throughput junctions that have changed from crossroads to roundabouts, for a vaguely fair comparison, if nothing else has changed to spoil the comparison.

I was thinking that, and that it always has covered a lot of what's going on in the world, ahead of it actually happening.

Charlie Brooker is clearly a prophet of doom; though I'd have to say his most impressive prediction was how the media would go with Nathan Barley way back in 2005.

It has the potential to break him, as he's pretty much launched it by himself against all advice, and there's no obvious off-ramp that doesn't involve humiliation. And the worldwide costs are going to be against his name, however he tries to spin it.

It would be bad enough for even a normal person, but for a malignant narcissist who has never really faced *any* consequences for his many misdeeds, it's going to be explosive. Let's hope he doesn't take that literally, in the atomic sense.

I think we have to accept that the semi-sane semi-adults around him aren't going to stop him, no matter what, even if he did start dropping nuclear bombs on Iran, but I still find it extraordinary that they are willing to consign America to being a pariah state for a generation or two in order to foster the worldwide chaos they seem to desire for their oligarchical ends.

Urban trolley busses maybe. North Americans are used to wires above street level, and severa cities have electric busses powered from overhead cables. Quiet, no tailpipe emissions,.no heavy batteries.

We used to have Trolley Buses in my local town, and in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, when I were a lad 😂
