I wonder if he's thought of how he's going to keep the Strait? Given Iran's claims and Iran's attitude to the US and Iran's military capability Trümp is going to need to keep more than one aircraft carrier and support vessels, etc. there.

Add the declining sentiment towards the US across neighbouring countries (even those who were previously allies and hosted US bases) he won't be getting as much support as he might want from them (particularly if Iran perceives they are helping the US take the Strait from them).

Another declaration he hasn't thought through, hasn't considered the consequences of, hasn't considered the impact on other countries, etc.
