Donald Trump’s attempts to silence the media have only turned out to silence him.
The president participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for his new helipad on the South Lawn of the White House Monday, speaking in front of a hard-hatted crowd wearing neon yellow, high-visibility vests. But exactly what Trump was saying remained a mystery, as the press pool wasn’t present to mic him up.

Instead, the White House’s official feed was unable to pick up any noise apart from the blaring drone of a stationary Marine One helicopter parked yards away. Trump’s audio was completely garbled.

Even Newsmax—one of the few networks to air the event—recognized that it was “one example” of the president’s censorship scheme “backfiring just a little bit.”

“Obviously the ramifications are right here. Can’t hear what the president’s saying,” remarked Newsmax host Bianca de la Garza.

Maybe they have recognised in 2 years they'll be very vulnerable to the tables being turned. Protecting their longer term prospects.

Whilst reporters go on about how he's talking to or addressing the US electorate how many swing/potential Trûmp/Republican voters are watching UN speeches? Probably not many. Those he needs to get on his side were sitting in front of him and 99% would have recognised the lies, ego, twaddle, etc. and been looking to go with their Plan B (get closer to anybody except the US).

Remember the Graham Platner allegations?...

Both the NYT and Politico left critical information about the alleged assault that lead to Platner stepping down from the race.
Of course, everybody jumped on the bandwagon and had him guilty as charged from the moment the story broke. However, no charges were brought against him and it appears that Platner was removed because he wasn't a suitable candidate; that being, part of the corporate PAC or AIPAC.
So the 600 Democratic members who decide on candidates will not back an 'outsider'.

The only paper to contradict the story was The Hill. After all, both the NYT and Politico are PAX~AIPAC backed.
