Tell him it's how we Brits show our love and admiration for great men and he'll ask for more.

Don't know how many times I have to repeat this but he said that the exporters will be paying and with tariffs exporters don't pay, importers do ... so he wasn't talking about tariffs. Said it several times now. Can't think of a more straightforward way to say it, exporters don't pay tariffs and Trump was talking about them paying so he must have been talking about something else.

I think you are making the mistake of assuming Trump understands what he is talking about - it's easy to underestimate just how stupid he is. He has been banging on about tariffs for years, and it's clear that he thinks that China will be paying the tariffs, it's basically free money, which will allow him to abolish income tax. It seems surprising that no one has thought of doing this before, but obviously it takes a bigly genius like trump to come up with these things, helped by his advisor with an imaginary expert to help him.
"President Wilson achieved this in the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. Working with the bullish Senator Aldrich and former presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan, he perfected a way to centralize the banking system to allow Congress to closely allocate paper money production.[91]
The Federal Reserve Act, with the Sixteenth Amendment of the Constitution, would create a trend of new forms of government funding. The Democrats lowered the tariff in 1913 but the economic dislocations of the First World War made it irrelevant. When the Republicans returned to power in 1921 they again imposed a protective tariff. They raised it again with the Smoot–Hawley Tariff Act of 1930 to meet the Great Depression in the United States. But that made the depression worse. This time it backfired, as Canada, Britain, Germany, France and other industrial countries retaliated with their own tariffs and special, bilateral trade deals. American imports and exports both went into a tailspin."
For anyone still pondering Trump's motives or great plan, it is simple. Money and greed.

...and his narcissism.
I actually wondered if they could have national mass laugh-ins at him, as his ego is soooo fragile. Coup by comedy.
The orange rapist does of course have history in using the DoJ and other agencies under their direction, when it comes to trampling on a individual's rights.Issuing that at 1am on a weekend suggests that seven of them realise that Trump is out of control.
A condition known as "Malignant Narcissism" a solipsistic form of narcissism sometimes just called solipsist. Afflicted just has to be the centre of attention, it doesn't have to be positive attention. Focus of everybody is the only important thing not being admired.I suspect that his greed trumps his narcissism given that he doesn't mind people being angry at him.
Both can be true though, and at an extreme level. 😉

I think Johnson was similar to Trump (if less extreme) and wanted everyone to love him, which is why he constantly put off the hard decisions during the pandemic until it was two weeks too late.
