Don't worry folks: I had many dealings with spen666 on Bike Radar and so did others. He's a condescending tw@t with a superiority complex whilst lacking anything that could be deemed as a 'personality'. But then he left. No surprise there.
Oh, and he wasn't able to give us his occupation as it would have been a conflict of interest and other bollox on that theme as if he was someone in a high position at GCHQ/the Law Society/Mensa/Ministry of Muppetry..

If he sticks around, I can have some fun at his expense.

The tactics used were obviously successful.
It is unfortunate that enough of the US electorate were gullible enough to fall for it. The Dems gave the electorate too much credit.

The only thing they voted for in reality was to be personally better off, and they'd vote for literally anyone who would achieve that. I mean let's face it this is how Hitler got elected in the first place.

So, people voted on promises of better jobs, lower inflation and lower taxes.

What they've got, potentially, is a self inflicted recession, higher inflation and possibly lower taxes, but in exchange for no healthcare.

On current trajectory it is looking like enough people will feel let down that they'll lose both houses of congress. We can only hope.

Sorry Spen but that's rubbish. The Republicans chose him to represent them because they knew what his tactics would be . They are the same tactics he has used all his life. Lying, bullying and denying. He didn't adopt any tactics. He was employed as a weapon by Republicans far cleverer than the orange shootgibbon. The Policies he is enacting don't come from him. He's literally a mouthpiece being told what to sign because he can't read.

Yes. The architects of Project 2025 saw him as the perfect vessel. A distractor, a man with 0 principles. A man who would openly lie. This, with election campaign funding that would write off many 3rd world countries debt. Those billionaires that funded his presidential campaign are the benefactors of the big beautiful Bill. The pay of Pompeii?
Without moral foundation and bereft of scruples, Trump could step on the electoral soap box and spout all his MAGA bullshit and lies and it appealed to the rednecks and the sycophantic and the white supremacists and the disenfranchised who thought they had a voice. How wrong they were and it won't be long (if it isn't happening already), before they realise that he has betrayed them.

An interesting breakdown of the sources of election campaign money:

Oh dear, now the Americans who voted for Trump are thick and gullible.

I dare any of you to go to the USA and say that to a citizen. You're likely to get a slap or a dose of lead injection. They take great exception to being insulted

Isn't that what most people always vote for?, including here in UK?

Is "Project 2025" a conspiracy theory that actually exists and is working?

Yes, I know that, but, the "interesting" bit, to me, its the claim that some "guiding hand or group" are controlling it. My usual stance on such things is that there are not enough people smart enough to achieve that. Is this an exception, I ponder.

I think the 'genius' of having Trump as the clown king is that the US oligarchs can quietly get stuff done.
