What, Beans has gone to the ditch worth studying?

Musk has issued a "Go ahead, make my day..." on Trump.

Beans keeps brining live mice in and had a dodgy belly. I thought I might put the anatomy of a mouse on the wall behind his food dish. You know - like when you put the times tables on the back of the toilet door for your kids. He needs re-training. No one has told him he is a cat. I think that is the root of the problem.
He pestered me for a Beans jolly walk but then when we got to the top of the garden, he decided against it.

Perhaps you need one of those pictures like in the butchers showing all the cuts.

Anyway, Epstein….

Erm... 'anatomy of a mouse'. I think that was a give away ^_^
But yes - some big arrows showing the bits not to eat. Most of the cats I have had filleted them but Beans is not so discerning.
He's a bit of a fake cat. He does very dog things.

Most cats seem to have an incomplete set of wild cat skills, and what they do retain is hugely variable. But I wonder how much is due to the fact that humans feed them so they're mostly not actually hunting because of hunger. My late parents-in-law kept semi-wild barn cats to keep the rodents under control. They were fed only enough to dissuade them from wandering. Every so often the tribe would go down with cat flu, and replacements would be sourced from neighbouring farmers. Vet? For a cat! Don't be ridiculous. But they always seemed to be effective hunters.

I wonder if there is any de-escalation path that allows them both to claim some sort of "victory ". I can't see either admitting they're wrong or losing the exchange, too much ego involved. So interesting to see how it develops and where it goes.

Tis true. The cats who I/we have taken in that went feral for a period of time, were quite different animals and much more accomplished hunters.
Beans was obviously handled very well as a kitten as he is so trusting but catching mice is mainly a game, a bit of fun. I can swap a live mouse in his mush for a titbit. Other cats would be growling at me if I attempted to relieve them of my quarry. (including a 6 day old lump of very pungent Turkey raided from a bin on NYE - but that's another story...)

'The poison is in the system', citing that a large body of the MAGAs are not happy about the Epstein files and Musk has implicated Trump as part of a cover up vis-a-vis Epstein's 'suicide'.

Cats seem to be evolving, and not in a good way due to humans spoiling them.
As I remember it all cats buried their sh!t but apparently not any more. I blame litter trays.

The good thing is that whilst they are engaged with fighting each other they won’t be doing anything else. Hopefully this will mean the Senate and Congress can get on with governing. I am expecting the Sharpie to make an appearance to sign an executive order banning Musk from posting on X though.
