I would not wish ill on anybody but the other aspect in terms of US governance and impact on the rest of the world, whilst Trump is a disaster the US system means that for current term anything happens to him and Vance gets to take over and do people really think Vance would be any better? Difficult to tell should Vance take over as it the moment he's constrained in that he can't afford to antagonise MAGA and Trump's base.

While Trump seeds the ground for an American dictatorship, these two top Dems pine for bipartisanship.
