That figures. My guess is that he's a disgruntled maga/qanon type maybe ex-army - those people are batshit crazy, maybe didn't like Kirk's u-turn on the epstein files or something like that.

Well, veterans are at the core of every hate group from the Boogaloo boys to the Proud boys to the KKK. It's been that way for over 130 years.

If that's the case, we're watching MAGA's tear each other apart but unfortunately, pop corn time it isn't.

It's been the general consensus on Naca that people should take responsibility for things posted in haste on social media.

What, like that website you mean? It won't end well.

In any case, there's a slight difference between the response of an official authority and a vigilante group. Although I suppose it could be argued that the police are a vigilante group, but that's a whole other thread.

I must admit that I'd been thinking/hoping that the gunman was 'one of their own', if only to see how they contort themselves to blame the libs.

I guess they don't actually want people to be reminded what he actually said.

The gun and ammo they found was apparently engraved with trans rights messages.
But they are urging caution as it could be miss interpreted.
Sounds similar to the gang tattoos issue before. Where any random letters or symbols can be made to fit an agenda.

In the past you've expressed the view that people in certain jobs should be careful what they say so it's a bit hypocritical to complain when others point out what individuals have said on social media and seek to inform their employers for example. I'm not generally in favour of it personally (depending on what it is obviously), but FAFO seems to only apply to some and not to others.

Of course they are urging caution; they're struggling with the idea that it might not be a crazy Lib.
