I regard it as a difficult one. Thinking back to my own Dad as he suffered dementia, you could tell him "Sausages for supper" and 2 mins later he'd be asking what was for supper because he really didn't know (despite having been told just a few mins before).

Not diagnosing dementia in anybody but when somebody with the mental capacity of a frozen pea starts suffering age related cognative decline can you genuinely say they "know" something they have been informed about?
