Just dedicated the peace award also to Trump
Surprised Victor Orban isn't on that list. Perhaps for Trump demonstrating his ability to to foster relations between Russia and the USA and not Trump following in the footsteps of Orban in the subversion of democracy? The list of nominees is quite fun.
Elon Musk was nominated by Branko Grims, a Slovenian politician who wants to send people back where they came from. He is nominated for "for his consistent commitment to the fundamental human right to freedom of expression, and thus to peace". That would be the freedom of expression that requires his constant censoring of his own AI Bot.
And then of course there is Donald Jessica Trump nominated by:-
- Anat Alon-Beck, a high flying American Jewish Professor of Law with close ties to Israel "for his extraordinary leadership, strategic brilliance, and unparalleled commitment to advancing peace and securing the release of hostages in one of the most complex geopolitical arenas of our time."
- Asim Munir, a Pakistani military officer that Trump had a bromance with "for his attempts to de-escalate the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict, seeking a resolution through dialogue and backchannel diplomacy, while emphasizing the principles of restraint, regional stability, and the prevention of armed escalation—despite India's stated refusal of third-party mediation and its insistence on bilateral engagement" and not for threatening Pakistan with huge tariffs.
- Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli dictator and genocideal warmonger "in recognition of his pursuit of peace and security in the Middle East and Trump’s role in brokering the Abraham Accords and the ceasefire and hostage releases in Gaza"
- Buddy Carter, a republican arse-licker for "his historic role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Iran and preventing the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, Iran, from obtaining a nuclear warhead"
- Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia for "for his crucial role in restoring peace and stability at the border between Thailand and Cambodia" and not at all for "reducing tariffs on Cambodia from 49% to 19%"
- Javier Milei, massively right wing President of Argentina for "for recognition of his extraordinary contribution to international peace" and not for giving Argentina $20bn to bail out their economy.
Probably the very moment Trump decided he was going to be a future president.
Thanks Mr Obama

"If I were to run, I'd run as a Republican. They're the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they'd still eat it up."
Russell Vought has announced they are now using the pretext of the government shutdown to fire thousands of federal workers who have been furloughed. Not that it's legal, but they are doing it anyway. Can't help thinking they wanted to have the excuse. They are just wreckers, just as Musk was hired to do: smash everything connected with the state, so that they can enrich themselves in the chaos that ensues.
Meanwhile the ICE barbie at a presser was talking about how they were going to root out the individuals behind antifa:
As Secretary of Homeland Security in October 2025, Kristi Noem has spoken out against "antifa," calling the decentralized anti-fascist movement a dangerous and sophisticated domestic terrorist organization. Her rhetoric came during a White House roundtable hosted by former President Trump, where she compared antifa to designated foreign terrorist groups.
I do find it weird that their response to an anti-fascist movement is to act more fascist, increasing the need for an antifascist movement.
Well, weird as in wrong. I suspect that Brian is correct on this.
Hmm. Those American soldiers who died during WW2 were categorically antifa. Perhaps they should unmark all those gravestones.

Weren't they all losers anyway?![]()
I wonder about the chances of (former?) Trump favourite Special Counsel John Durham, being the next target of a vindictive prosecution by the DoJ?
It is reported that Durham, who was supposed to find evidence to support the prosecution against former FBI Director James Comey, couldn't actually find any. As a result of the DoJ's actions, he may now be a witness for Comey, should Comey's case not be dismissed for malicious/vindictive prosecution and/or time barred and/or the DoJ prosecutor not having standing to lay the charges.
