Worth noting that in the name USAID the "AID" stands for "Agency for International Development" not "aid". Also worth noting that many of the smaller grants (as in the list above) are awarded by local embassy staff and on occasions granted to gain benefit from the local Government eg to provide a few million US$ to some project favoured by the wife of the country's president at a time when a US company is seeking a major contract ... Called "soft power".

The whole system has been abused, whether you call it soft power, bribery, corruption, humanitarian, cultural enrichment.

The whole system needs to be vetted line by line, which DOGE are doing. They are finding many many payments they don't feel are in the US tax payers best interests

The polls indicate even in less republican states, what Trump has initiated, is being extremely well received

Also worth noting that some of those project names don't really convey what the projects are for.
The $10m for voluntary male circumcision in Mozambique for example is a programme aimed at reducing transmission of AIDS from men to women. Research has shown that circumcision reduces transmission by 60%. This means fewer women with AIDS and fewer children with AIDS.

But who care about poor Africans dying from AIDS and the suffering of women and children as they die painfully from disease. Compete waste of American tax dollars right? It's not like the USA needs anything from Mozambique like precious stones, titanium ore and graphite, the provision of which depends on having a healthy workforce in Mozambique...

And it's not as though the US maintain strategic military bases in Mozambique and have an interest in their soldiers not catching AIDS...

Hang on a minute...

We know. And we have explained to you, using the smallest words that we can, that DOGE is a thick as pigshit. It makes no attempt to understand what it is doing, or to look at impacts on the US, almost all of which are negative.

It's not thick as pigs hit, you don't like the sweeping changes that the US government are undertaking.

Trump stood on this point during his campaign for president, he said he would slash costs. The American public voted for it and gave him a mandate to put US people first.

He is very popular and polls agree with his rapid sweeping cutbacks.

Truth is starting to emerge
Elon Musk’s mass government cuts could make private companies millions
Defense and tech firms – including Musk’s own – await potential contracts as Doge decimates US agencies

Musk’s plans have already excited Silicon Valley mainstays such as Palantir, whose executives praised Doge on an earnings call last week and talked about how the disruption by the billionaire’s strike squad was good for the company.
...
Other CEOs and tech executives have similarly praised Musk and told investors that Doge’s plans represent an opportunity for their companies. Brian Armstrong, CEO of the multibillion-dollar cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, lauded Doge last week for its “great progress” and suggested putting government expenditures on blockchain technology. Defense contractors like Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman spoke favorably of the effort on recent earnings calls, while the Predator drone-maker General Atomics Aeronautical Systems wrote a letter directly to Musk last month asking him to speed up the way the Pentagon handles defense contracts.
...
Trump has already dissolved one watchdog agency investigating Tesla.

The article is subjective, headline says 'could'. They are guessing.

What does it matter if companies make money, that's the bedrock of capitalism

Emotive words and phrases. Musk 'frenzied' cuts at X.

He got rid of all the fact checkers, because he wanted an open free speech platform.

Space X is successful because it makes excellent products, so why wouldn't they grow to be the biggest in the space industry

DOGE is reporting findings to Trump's administration -they decide what does and doesn't not get cut

'Donald Trump has given Musk enormous power to reshape the government, including on Tuesday issuing an executive order that requires agencies to coordinate with Doge on staffing decisions and cuts.'

No he isn't and no they don't. The only President Trump is outperforming is er... Trump.

Most respondents said they would describe the 78-year-old Trump as "effective," "focused," "tough," "competent" and "energetic," though just 37% said they viewed him as "compassionate."

A large majority, 70%, said they believe Trump is doing what he promised during the 2024 campaign.

There was this German chap who got into power in the 1930s. He did what he had promised he would do. That didn't turn out to be a good thing.
