Finding it extraordinary that the House of Representatives can remain shut down simply because the Speaker isn't recalling it. Seems like a bit of a flaw in the system that one partisan politician can effectively stop it functioning entirely for effectively an indefinite length of time.

A slight addition, the Reagan Foundation have gone up Donnie's bum and are looking at ways to sue. They won't find any.

He's just slapped a 10% rise in tariffs on Canada. He said that the Reagan ad was AI and Reagan loved tariffs. The words in the ad are from Reagan and are what he said. He definitely did not like tariffs.

Meanwhile as the USA bails out the failed economy of Argentina to the rune of $40bn, firstly Argentina are capitalising on the market for Soya as China is refusing to buy Soya from the unstable US market and USA will buy more Argentinian beef. This is making both Soya and Cattle farmers furious all over the US.
The Argentinian Peso is so weak, the $40bn will be swallowed up and will not really have much impact. Consider Greece's 300bn Euro bail out and Greece is a much smaller economy than Argentina.

Population of Greece 10m
Argentina 45m

Argentina has spent one 3rd of the time since 1950 in recession.

MAGA - Make Argentina...

Grindr Mike is Trump's biggest fluffer.

Newson trolled the Republicans with a site selling knee pads. He further trolled Mike Johnson with the post: 'We sold out. Mike Johnson bought all 219 of them'.

Trump is also threatening 'consequences' if Milei isn't re-elected.

I'm starting to get the impression that the actions & trajectory of the current administration may well be highlighting a number of flaws in the system.

He hates being correctly contradicted. He hates being criticised. He will take your sweets away from you. A pathetic individual. You have to keep reminding yourself that this guy is the POTUS. It's simultaneously incredulous how he is not MAGA.
He had one policy - tariffs. He was looking for policies to run on in 2015. He asked his son to find policies. His son found a 2nd rate economist who floated the idea of tariffs. Since then Trump has stuck to it like glue (references in a previous post some 50 odd pages ago).
Then you have the two Ronnies Art Laffer and Stephen Moore who espouse this sh*t and are the very few proponents of draconian tariffs when all others and all other financial institutions and most governments disagree.

Art Laffer: "You're on the precipice of the greatest prosperity Britain has ever known. There's nothing wrong with being rich. There's something wrong with being desperately poor... cut tax rates..." bollox bollox bollox.

We know the countries with the highest tax rates gave the best standard of living. There is still a vein of economists hung up on flawed Milton Freidman ethic.
