Definitely on the positive side is that they haven't yet nuked the election machinery to stop Democratic wins, though the ICE & Homeland Security invasions of Democratic states is undoubtedly a precursor to seeing what they can do to intimidate and disrupt.

Oh dear, what a shame. Now, the real question is if the democratic leadership will learn any lessons or if they are going to bury their heads in the sand like labour did after Caerphilly.

Obama has been on the right side of this and has praised Mamdani and "forward-looking candidates", but Schumer wouldn't even reveal if he'd voted for Mamdani, and certainly didn't endorse him. It'll be interesting to see if he changes his tune now, but I somewhat doubt it.

The poor latinos and blacks voting for Trump in 2024 baffled me, given it's pretty clear what he is to the core. I probably should admire their optimism and decry an information environment that meant they thought he'd be on their side, but even so, it was still surprising.

Deportations make him look good and lines the pocket of Herr Miller. I do not know how they physically disrupt elections directly through fear as they do not have the personnel numbers for 50 sates.
The pendulum may be swinging so far over, no matter what, interference with the voting system (postal votes etc) won't make a difference. It's the electronic side that warrants the attention and scrutiny.

CZ then goes on to support various Trump and Trump family bit coin ventures.
Trump, when asked in an interview say's he doesn't know who this guy is.
So a) he's got full on dementia or
b) he's just a lying f*cking corrupt criminal. You choose.

Occurred to me another possibility is that Trümp is a puppet basically signing what those really running the show put in front of him. Maybe a bit "conspiracy theory'ish" but maybe he really doesn't know the guy as his only involvement was using his sharpie when and where so instructed.
