For ages now commentators have been saying about how good Trump is a "politics" - though I suspect more based on his outcomes (getting what he wants) rather than his method.

But I can't see it, certainly not these days. To me his stance on the Epstein files would seem a lose/lose stance. His ongoing alienation of pretty well every non-US country through tariffs, appeasement, lies, etc. - he might get some spineless leaders responding with sycophancy but world opinion must be turning against him and the US. Turning on staunch MAGA supporters and his own cheerleaders (eg MTG). He just seems to be making such obvious mistakes.

Has anyone said Trump os good at politics? He was good at appealing to a section of US society to get himself elected.
Maybe he is good at politics if winning 2 elections is the measure.
However he is sh!te at diplomacy, economics and negotiation, and is a cdomplusive delusional liar.
He's also sh!te at business.

I have never indulged in their pork pies, pasties, or sausage rolls, but, their Stotty Cakes are a passable imitation of what I remember as a child as made by my grandmother.

For pies, locally, I am a fan of Dickinson's. 😊

Dickinson's are the real deal for pastry goods, but Gregg's bread is pretty spot on. Cooplands is worth a look too.

Trump has conservatively landed $8 trillion in deals in 2025

Biden landed $1t in a 4 year term

He has been involved in negotiations which has led to cessation of hostilities in many conflicts, not drawn US into any new wars since his second term

Trump media is in disarray. Perhaps this will be another business filed in the big bankruptcy folder.
I haven't been bankrupt once nor have I been convicted of anything and no one has suggested that I should be in the running for POTUS. What's wrong with this world?

Yes, Dickinson's pies are in my "cooking" repetoire.

As Mrs B's alzheimers advanced I had to "take over" the grocery shopping and cooking (among other things).

Being an IT freak, who could not cook, I made a chart, covering 7 days a week for 6 weeks, and, populated it with lunchtime and evening meals, ensuring we never ate the same thing on two consecutive days. It was also, of course, limited by what I could cook (although my skills have improved, with practice, and, the chart has been updated accordingly). Dickinson's products do feature in my chart.

During the "diagnosis phase" we were visited by an occupational therapist (who's task was, I guessed, to assess if we could survive un-aided, without starving to death or disappearing under a pile of dirty dishes and laundry). When the young lady asked if we ate a "healthy diet", I submitted my chart, for her approval. She was suitably impressed, and, told me that she had never had another client present such a chart. She even asked if she could take a copy.

Apologies for the thread drift.

Was it a pie chart?

When I was (very much) younger, the meat'n'tater pies from the bakers in Albatros(s)* Street were something we looked forward to. In fact, here's the shop now:-
