No it's not.

varying reasons, large increase in 2019 due to orthodox Jews in New York not wanting vaccination.

2019 Covid restrictions helped fall in cases.

Post Covid measles surged worldwide due to less organised immunisation programs.

This year the outbreaks have occurred in more locations causing jump in cases

I believe that many folk are far more wary of mass immunisation programs after the Covid lockdowns.

I saw a comment about how relieved parents were in the 50s & 60s when vaccines were coming out that could prevent their children catching deadly & crippling dideases, then I remembered that sense of relief when the covid vaccines came out and we moved towards feeling that at least there was some sort of check on its progress through the population (and when the hospitalisation rate was brought under control).

It's going to go down in the history book as the largest-scale public health experiment, but for entirely the wrong reasons. Even if they turn it around pretty quickly, if polio and measles really spread out of control, the scars are going to last to the end of the century and beyond.

I see a second attempt within a week to secure an indictment for mortgage fraud against Leticia James has failed.

A black woman in a position of power he can't bring down The orange dictator must now be seriously pissed off.
Meanwhile, vindictive prosecution evidence is accumulating should any indictment for this alleged offence ever be achieved.

In fairness, the long term picture is a bit more complicated. At the very least I'd like to better understand what happened in 2019, and comparative vaccination levels.

Fair question.

New Mexico is the latest state with a measles outbreak, though most cases have occurred in New York, Michigan and Washington State. The disease spread in Orthodox Jewish communities in Brooklyn and in Rockland County, New York, before being carried to Michigan. A large outbreak in southern Washington State spread mostly among unvaccinated children under 10 years old. And in late April, hundreds of people were put under quarantine at two Los Angeles universities after an outbreak there.
