Wondering when Farage will venture out from under his duvet/rock, so he can be questioned on his views of Trump. Though, to note, he did manage a Cameo video yesterday for £98, so maybe he's made a miraculous recovery.

I’m waiting for some words of wisdom from Trussibot. She is in the news today I see, but thats to do with Jenrick wanting to get Badenoch to kick her out of the Tory party.

This is what sane heads will be keeping in mind. There is a finite appetite for lunacy, even lunacy that outrages the woke libs. If the Project 2025 goons think that Trump has overplayed his hand, he'll be gone as quickly as a mafioso capo who has broken the mafia code. They are equally hard-headed, even if he is 'family'. They'll just make sure he gets a good funeral, and then party like there's no tomorrow.

Real reason why blue cities and states are fighting to keep chaos.

Trump victories like cleaning up crime in DC is very popular with the residents of those cities -

absolutely hated by democrats lefties

But where will they find a similarly disruptive goon? It's not the billionaires that will suffer.

I don't know how concerned US citizens are about the Greenland madness, etc. or even how aware they are of it, but reports like this are probably being much more noticed domestically, even if only from the bills people are having to pay
How Trump’s promise to slash energy bills in half has failed across the US
Donald Trump has comprehensively failed to meet a key election promise to slash Americans’ energy bills in half within the first year of his presidency, with power prices instead surging across the US.

The average household electricity bill in the US was 6.7% more expensive in 2025 compared with the previous year, according to a Guardian analysis of data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the Department of Energy’s statistical arm. The increases meant that, on average, US households paid nearly $116 more across 2025 than they did in 2024.

I pity anyone gullible enough to have believed the promises in the first place.

The average US energy bill is about $1750. In the UK it is about £1700. I don't what the "average" is based on or whether the two are comparable, but I have to say I'm surprised that the US cost is as high as that.

It’s just another abject failure from the worst US president in living memory.
He’s more interested in picking fights at home and abroad, just so long as he and his mates can extort a fast buck. And he expects a peace prize for this!
Americans are counting the cost on a daily basis.

I suspect their usage is much higher. Winter in some states needs more heating, summer in others would see a lot of AC use (whereas there is far less of that in the UK especially domestically and our energy use is a lot lower in summer as a result) plus I doubt their crappy timber kit houses are very good on insulation. Oddly, I heard some UK politician a few days ago (possibly Tice) saying energy is half the price of the UK over in the good ole US of A.
