Well, would you know it, the 5-y-o had been used as 'bait' to trap his father, who had broken no laws and was in the US totally legally. Anyway, he's home now. No, no, it was all perfectly fine Brian, a load of morons on X said so. The father was definitely (probably? Unlikely to be?) an illegal alien and a criminal, and ICE only took his five year old because no other adults were within 3 feet of the boy (his relative being in the house at least 10 feet up the drive and therefore impossible to contact).

No, it's no surprise. Epstein was clearly aware which buttons to push with which individuals in order to get them into his sphere of influence or obligation. Political leanings don't seem to have come into it.

What did he get in return though? Maybe it was just the kudos of mixing with celebrities, royalty, politicians, or well connected people, or maybe he called in favours that we have yet to hear about. He kept a connection with Harvard after his first conviction, which is hard to believe wasn't related to the $6 million donations.
