I think I also saw from him a quote about people getting rich and the rich richer. Much of American society does appear to be focused on money and not the quality of life for Americans. This is getting very dystopian. It’s now just survival of the fittest.
I thought governments were there specifically to help the weak.

Now, I’m not a religious man. But Trump and his followers claim to be. But seem to have no regard for actual Christian teachings.
Psalms 41.1
Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the LORD delivers them in times of trouble.
Probably.
He's gone awfully quiet on being "pissed off" with Putin.
I've just been told that I have an inheritance of a few million dollars from a Nigerian Prince who apparently was a relative of mine without me knowing. The fly in the ointment is that I need a couple of hundred thousand pounds upfront to deal with the paperwork. If you were able to front the money for me we could go halves on the inheritance.
Excellent point Stevo, as I highlighted earlier we export 5 times more goods to the EU than the US. Who are the closer and more significant trading partner? Who are we closer to on security? You are making an excellent case for closer UK/EU ties.
Who wants to go back to an over-regulated, low growth bloc that makes up only approx 13% of the global economy?
Yeah, but they might've changed their minds since @Stevo 666 pointed out they only got kicked in one bollock by Trump.Assuming that sneery binburner hyperbole is referring to the EU, evidently around 62% of the UK electorate would choose to rejoin, according to recent polls.

Which - coincidentally - is the same percentage by which Scotland voted to remain in 2016.
Yeah, but they might've changed their minds since @Stevo 666 pointed out they only got kicked in one bollock by Trump.
Maybe that's what a lot of the electorate want to do, but in reality how likely are we to rejoin?
I'd like to have George Clooneys mansion on the shores of Lake Como, but it isn't going to happen so I'd be stupid to keep banging on about it.
