They're also developing a long range version which may be a competitor to the a350/787.

Correct. But they still need to use western engines.

Ultimately, there is a high chance that they will be to Boeing what BYD is to Tesla. Airbus are ahead on every metric, and also pushing hard to develop low, or lower, carbon-footprint flight.

See, with the right leader, things get done.
I don't think that graphic is telling you what you think it is telling you...

The orange blob has picked another fight he can't win.

If only Harvard could get some top pro bono legal advice...

Oh wait...

It runs one of the best law schools in the world.

Can't see anything going wrong here at all. I'm sure Trump has also got excellent legal advice.

<checks>

Oh hang on - he never pays his lawyers.

Oops...

As mentioned above, it will be fascinating to see how this plays out. Despite all of the above, he seems to have levers (including financial) that he pulls that gets even high-profile legal firms to come on bended knee. But from the forthrightness of Harvard's rebuttal, and the depth of their amassed legal experience, I assume they know what they are doing, and hopefully it gives backbone to other institutions to push back.

It's obvious that Trump & Project 2025 want to muzzle all educational institutions, as is the playbook of all fascist states, as independence of thought from the Dear Leader is not permitted, as they might point out that he has no clothes.

The law firm engaged by Harvard for this fight is Quinn Emanuel, who are also involved with the Garcia illegal deportation to El Salvador.
But Quinn Emanuel's managing partner William Burck, is the outside ethics advisor to the Trump Organisation.
I know lawyers are essentially guns for hire, but there could be some interesting conflicts arising.

That could well have been an intentional choice. It really puts that guy in a bit of a bind. Will be interesting to know which was the first client, because ethically, regardless of who has the most money to spend, in a conflict of interest situation the client who came second has to be binned.
